ON BEHALF OF THE GAMMA EPSILON CHAPTER WE WILL LIKE TO EXTEND OUR CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DELEON FAMILY ON THEIR NEW ADDITION, LEILA VICTORIA ![]() Welcome to the Genuine & Exquisite Gamma Epsilon Graduate Chapter of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Apha, Inc.
The Ladies on the Island, Gamma Epsilon Graduate Chapter are working on meeting the needs of our Hermanas in the Queens/Long Island Region. We strive to bring solidarity, inspiration and friendship to all alumnae, serve as examples to undergraduates and continue to provide service to the Latino community in our region.
As an organized group, we will strive to work diligently to reconnect older sisters with the organization. It is our goal to help address the needs of the recently graduated, seasoned, mothers and career oriented Hermanas.
In the Spring of 2005, five women came together to address the needs of alumnae in the Queens/Long Island Region. As an organized group, we participated in community service projects (March of Dimes, NY Cares, Multiple Sclerosis, Toys for tots), numerous social events (BBQ, Mezcladeras, family picnic) as well as workshops (Legal matters, a woman’s pampering event.) On February 11, 2007 we were granted our chapter charter becoming the Gamma Epsilon Graduate Chapter. These five women are the Founding Hermanas of the Gamma Epsilon Chapter: Eva M. Barahona - H. Graciosa Cynthia Baux - H. Aliento Yahira (Acosta) DeLeón - H. Espirtuósa Gina L. (Barahona) Johnson - H. Amorosa Flavia (Azzerad) Salcedo - H. Nieve |
